Children´s choir Svitani was founded in September of 1996 and belonged to the Art school Štefánikova since 2008. In the past they had many concerts in the Czech Republic but also abroad (Poland, Italy, Austria, Slovakia and Germany). Since the beginning, the choir has attended both local and international choir competitions and has won quite a few prices, for example The Golden Ray price and absolute winner of category at the festival Porta Musicae in 2018. Since 2006 the choir organises it´s own competition called Zahrada písní (The Song´s Garden), in which thirty choirs from the whole Czech Republic are competing every year. Since November 2016 concert choirs have been headed by Vítězslav Hergesel. The pernament pianist is Skoho Kono.

Vítězslav Hergesel

Conductor / Leader

Vítězslav Hergesel was born in 1961. Hhas been the conductor of Children’s Choir “Svítání” since 2016. He graduaded from the Conservatory of Pilsen. At present she is still working with children and young people. He founded the children choir Kvítek in Dačice. At the head of the choir was 18 years. He is member of expert council for children's choir singing. He regularly takes part in courses for choir conductors organised by Artama Praha. He is invated as member jury of competition for choirs. He was awarded “Price od František Lýsek” in 2007, which is awarded by the Czech Choir Association. In Children Choir Svítání he conducts Main Choir „Svítání“, older preparatory choir “Svítáníčko” and Chamber Choir “Slunovrat”.
