With the theorical and practical lessons, ‘Personal and collective voice exercise’ lessons are very important for this program. Class choirs and elective choirs become application study places where the students can practice in concerts what they learn at lessons. Marmara University Ataturk Faculty of Education Department of Art Education Music Education, class choirs and elective choirs choristers improve their abilites by giving concerts and by doing this, they contribute some schools and institutions development. Repertoire: Educational music, marching music, folk-song, original songs, some examples from world choir literature and the repertoire is presented in the concerts which are given lots of different areas such as departmant and university concerts, national and international organisations and so forth. Bulent Halvasi started his musical education in his early ages with his father Imdat Halvasi. In 1985, he graduated from Marmara University Ataturk Faculty of Education Music Department. Halvasi completed his higher piano education in 1989 under supervision of Prof. Meral Yapali. In 1999, Halvasi completed his PhD in chorus studies under supervision of Prof. Yucek Elmas. Bulent Halvasi has been taking part in chorus festivals, seminars both in Turkey and outside of Turkey as an educator and a chorister. He completed his voice education with opera artish Samil Gokberk. Halvasi has been a member of Vox Europea (formerly knows as European Chorus) in past years, during which he worked with conductors from Germany, Netherlands, Finland and Poland. In 2002 he was appointed to Assitant Professor position. In 2008, he conducted a workshop in Gdanks Music Academy on Chorus Education. Halvasi is currently a teaching staff and a chorus conductor in Marmara University.
