The Choir of the Koszalin University of Technology, 'Canzona,' was established in January 2017, continuing the artistic activities and choral traditions of two groups: the Choir of the Koszalin University of Technology, founded in 1993, and the 'Canzona' Choir of the 105 Cultural Center in Koszalin, existing since 1999. The conductor is Radosław Wilkiewicz, a professor at the Academy of Art in Szczecin. The choir's members are students and graduates of the Koszalin University of Technology, representing various environments and professions. The repertoire of the group includes pieces ranging from early to contemporary music of religious, secular, and folk character, as well as negro spirituals, gospel, capoeira, jazz standards, and popular music. The choir regularly collaborates with the Koszalin Philharmonic and the International Organ Festival in Koszalin, performing many vocal and instrumental works. It has received numerous awards in choir competitions in Poland and Europe.
Radosław Wilkiewicz, born in 1970, is a highly accomplished Polish conductor, singer, and educator. As a professor at the Faculty of Music Education at the Art Academy in Szczecin, he holds a habilitation doctorate in music arts. With a rich career, he has earned awards and distinctions in Poland and Europe since 1994. Currently, Wilkiewicz is the conductor of the "Canzona" Choir at the University of Technology in Koszalin and the founder of the "Pomerania Cantat" Children's Choir at the Child Choral Academy in Koszalin since 2017. Serving as the chorus master and conductor with the Koszalin Philharmonic Orchestra since 2011, he has also been the artistic director of the Baltic Choir Competition 'Pomerania Cantat' in Koszalin-Słupsk since 2015. Additionally, since 2017, he holds the position of President of the Association 'Pomerania Cantat.'
