The Chamber String Orchestra JUNIOR by Jozef Kresánek Elemantary School of Arts came into exist- ence during the 1997/1998 school year under the artistic direction of Janka Spálová. It consists of students from the strings department of the school. The repertoire includes pieces from composers of various styles and periods. The orchestra supports student soloists by mastering the orchestral portions of concerts for piano, flute and violin written by J. Haydn, W. A. Mozart and J. S. Bach andy many others. Since the 2005/2006 school year, the orchestra has been cooperating with the Margarétka Children’s Choir. Not only we make concerts in presigious concert halls as Reduta – The building of Slovak Philmarmonic but also we visited Italy, Schwitzerland, Czech and Slovenia.. The orchestra took part at national and also intarnational festivals for example POHODA (Slovakia, 2013), Neerpelt (Belgium, 2011).
