The DLSZ Strings is a group of the Music Unit composed of advanced strings students from Grade School and High School Level. It further aims to provide students with various musical skills through the discovery of musical concepts and applying them to string performances, thus further deepening one’s sensitivity to and appreciation of music as an art. The group has been performing in different concerts and events locally and abroad. In August 2022, the group bagged numerous awards in the Singapore Raffles International Music Festival 2023, Singapore (Online Strings Competition). They won the Gold Award with the Highest Honor Chamber Ensemble Category, Gold Award for String Quintet Category, Gold Award for String Quartet Category, Silver Award for Chamber Music under 12 years old, Excellent Performance Award and Elite Award for solo performance. String players who joined the DLSZ Orchestra in April 2019 took home the Gold Award from the Chicago International Music Festival in the United States, and in June 2019 the ensemble took home the Gold and Outstanding Performance Awards.
