Children's choir "SOLO MUSICA" school of pedagogical practice ONMA named after Antonina Nezhdanova

Children’s Choir «Solo Musica» was founded in 2001 on the base of the music school for students’ teaching practice at Odessa National A.V. Nezhdanova Music Academy. More than 140 children (aged from 4 to 19 years old) are learning to sing at the choir in three age groups. Concert Choir «Solo musica» comprises more than 30 children at the aged from 9 to 19 years old. During its existence, the choir became the winner of 18 international competitions (in Ukraine, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Greece, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, German, France); Grand Prix winner (in Poland) and holders of a special prize «Future of Europe» (in Bulgaria). «Solo musica» is a regular participant of the choral festivals of classical, modern and folk music; it takes part in philharmonic concerts and various creative projects. The choir has recorded 2 CDs; took part in same TV programs. Its repertoire includes musical works by European, Russian and Ukrainian classical music, folk songs and contemporary music.

Eugenia Bondar

Conductor / Leader

Ievgeniia Bondar is a Leader of the children’s choir «Solo musica»; PhD; an Associate Professor; the Head of the Choir Conducting department in Odessa National Music Academy named after A.V. Nezhdanova, Odessa, Ukraine. She graduated from the Odessa Conservatory in 2000 (prof. V. Gorchakova); received her PhD degree in 2005 (advisor – prof. A. Sokol).Worked with childrens, amators, mixed choirs, ensembles. She took part in Ukrainian and International conferences, seminars and competitions; she is a jury member of Ukrainian and International choral competitions. Ievgeniia Bondar is the author of tutorials and more than thirty scholarly articles and choral songs books.
