Carmina bona is a children´s choir at the elementary school in Zlín - Malenovice, the only one that is focused on extended education of Music in Zlín region. Its members are second grade students, over 55 teenagers from 11 to 15 years old. The choir annually participates in various parades, festivals and competitions mostly in the Czech Republic, for example in the International festivals called "It is a region where grass smells" in Sušice, “ Light for Lidice “ in Lidice or “Golden Lyre “ in Šumperk. It is common to hold concerts with a popular Czech singer, for example a Christmas concert with Markéta Konvičková. Unforgettable part of our performances are Christmas and New Year concerts. In spring and summer time we also take part in various prestigious events not only in Zlín region. Two years ago we recorded our fifth CD called „Music is my life“ . The conductor of the choir is Dana Kozárková. Lucie Ševčíková takes a piano accompaniment.
The conductor of the choir „Carmina bona“ Dana Kozárková graduated from the Pedagogical faculty in Ostrava branch Czech – Music. She has been working as a teacher at elementary school since 1997. The school is the only one that is focused on extended education of Music in Zlín region. Mrs. Kozarkova has lead the choir since September 2011.
