Skanderborg Youth Choir
Denmark
Skanderborg Girls' Choir is a choir consisting of 20 singers aged 11-15 years, based in Skanderborg. The choir was formed in 1956 and since 1987 the choir has been conducted by Alice Vestergaard. The choir takes pride in exploring different genres, which is why the repertoire spreads everything from Danish songs, pop and jazz to classical movements. Within the last 24 years, the choir has participated in a host of international competitions all over Europe. In summer 2021 the choir participated in International Choir Competition Provence and won the category of children choir.

Conductor / Leader
Alice Vestergaard graduated from The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark in 1989. Since then she has worked as a music teacher and choir conductor, and by now she has more than 30 years of experience, mainly with woman!s choirs.
