The leader of the choir is Sister M. Elizabeta Peršić. Sister Elizabeta (Ivanka Peršić, born in Našice in 1965) graduated in organ performance from Zagreb in 1996 under the guidance of Professor Maria Penzar, and completed her degree in music theory in 2001. She has been leading the Women’s General Choir of the gymnasium since its foundation in 1995. Under her leadership, the choir has achieved outstanding results at the state choir competition "Musical Festival of Croatian Youth" in Varaždin, earning one gold plaque, four silver plaques, and two bronze plaques. She is also the conductor of the Sisters of Mercy Choir in Zagreb.
