Jelgava Music School choir Allemanda was established in 2006 and since the early beginning its conductor and artistic director is Mrs. Edite Bergmane. The choir's repertoire varies and performances include pieces from the Renaissance to modern music or music written by contemporary artists, also includes folk music. The choir has performed in national and international competitions. A lot of activities yearly are performed in national competitions since 2009. In a year 2023 Choir Allemanda was participating in 58. International choir festival of prof. J.Szyrockiego, Poland- Golden Diploma and 1st Place Prize, VIII International choir festival of prof. J. Świder, Poland – Golden Diploma.
Mrs. Edite Bergmane is violinist, conductor, teacher, and church organist. Graduated Jelgava Music School and later studied music pedagogy is RPIVA and on the year 2002 has finished Jāzeps Vītols Academy of Music in music pedagogy. Conducting skills has been also improved while studied in Poland and continued very actively work in Latvia, Poland and improving organ playing techniques in Austria. In 2004 she finished the Master’s degree in music pedagogy. The carrier has also related to professional singing in Latvian Radio Choir, improving singing technique in master classes by A.Garanca. Since 2005 Mrs.Bergmane is working in Jelgava Music School as a vocal teacher and conducting children’s choir.
