The choir consists of 84 girls between the ages of 14 and 18 years from a prestigious century old school in Pretoria. Between 1984 and 1997 the choir won the Director’s Trophy six times under the leadership of conductor Elmi Kruger. From 1998, under conductor Hannelize du Plessis, the choir was overall winner at the Prague International Choir Competition in the category Big Choirs and at WCG in 2006 held in Xiamen China, they won the overall reward as Olympic Champions in the category of Folk music. In 2009 the choir participated at the International Festival of Advent and Christmas music in Bratislava where they were crowned overall winner. Dr. Michael Barrett-Berg was the conductor choir in 2011 when the choir was Grand Prix winner at an international competition in Saint Petersburg. Since 2013 the choir has been under the leadership of Renette Bouwer, and they continued to grow their artistry. At the 2018 WCG in Tshwane the choir achieved 91.63% in the category Youth Choirs of Equal Voices.
