The St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School Tour Choir and Tour Wind Ensemble are music ensembles from St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School in Ascot, Brisbane, Australia. Both ensembles consist of girls ranging in age from 12 to 17. They perform a wide range of repertoire ranging from traditional works through to more contemporary pieces. The ensembles perform at both school events and in the broader community at charity events and annually present a beautiful selection of repertoire in the city’s most famous cathedral, St John’s. The school’s choir has a strong tradition of involvement in music festivals and has enjoyed performing with musicians from all around the world. In 2014, the choir travelled to France and the UK and had the special privilege of performing in Paris’ iconic Notre Dame Cathedral. On the same tour, the choir also enjoyed performing at the wonderful Llangollen Music Festival held in northern Wales. In 2018, the choir was lucky enough participate in Summa Cum Laude in Vienna along with the school’s string orchestra. This 2024 tour will be the first time the school’s Wind Ensemble has travelled on tour and they are incredibly excited to both share their music, as well as meet other musicians from around the world.
