The Amadeus choir was founded in 1999 by students from Veres Pálné High School in Budapest. Although members of the choir are engaged in a wide variety of occupations (IT, teacher, masseur, doctor, etc.), they are connected by the love of singing and music. Their repertoire ranges from Gregorian melodies to contemporary works. They regularly participate in festivals and competitions. Their last result was the gold grade achieved in the Zoltán Kodály Choir Competition.
Monika Réger is a music teacher, conductor. She studied at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest. Her teachers were, among others, József Maklári, István Párkai, Erzsébet Szőnyi. She began his career as a teacher of music theory, and then worked with disabled children for 10 years. From 1994 to 2004, she worked as a teacher at Veres Pálné High School and received an Artisjus Award and a Life Achievement Award.
