Since 2000 Ms. Despoina Karamalegkou has been conducting children's choir in Greece and since 2017 in Luxembourg. As a choral director she has participated in many concerts in both of the countries (Greek National Opera, Hellenic Maritime Museum, Athens Olympic Stadium, European Parliament etc.) and she has presented in joint concerts with other choirs (e.g. the choir of St. Thomas University of Minnesota, the choir of St. Joseph Catholic Parish school in Athens e.t.c.). She has won first prize in the Greek national choral competition four times and second prize twice. In 2010, she received an award from the Municipality of Athens and the Archbishopric of Athens for her chorale’s participation in the annual music event of the Greek National Opera. Last year she began conducting the Choir of the European Secondary School 2 of Luxembourg .
