Leslie Britton is the Founding Music Director and Artistic Director for the Denver Children’s Choir (DCC). Leslie is responsible for developing and implementing the choir’s unique mission that partners musical excellence with commitment to inclusiveness, multiculturalism, diversity, and outreach. Leslie directs the DCC’s “Fourteeners” and “Thin Air” ensembles and teaches a choral conducting class to small number of advanced singers from the choir. Outside of DCC she directs the community based “Impromptu” women’s choir. Leslie was the former Music Director and conductor for the nationally renowned Chicago Children’s Choir, the largest choral performance and training choir of its kind in the United States. Leslie holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from Northwestern University.
