Children Choir Adijamus was established seven years ago at Vilém Petrželka Music School in Ostrava – Hrabůvka. Even Adijamus choir is quite fresh member of music world, it has already token a part in several choral and singing competitions. One of its successes choir achieved winning „Gold and Silver band„ in regional choir competition of children choirs in Orlová. The biggest event was winning the Silver band in the international festival Slovakia Cantat in April 2017. Then in December 2017 choir Adijamus took a part in the 7th annual national competition „Vánoční akordy“ awarded for second place. Nowadays there are 42 singers – students of musical and non-musical department of the music school. Most of them are not trained singers, but great instrumentalists or painters. Even though they also have many freetime activities, they always find a time to attend rehearsals and concerts. The repertoire is slowly growing. Repertoire includes compostitions dated from Renaissance to contemporary music. An important place in the repertoire take folk songs in various styles, traditional and not very well known carols, gospel music and pop music. The founder and conductor of the choir is Mgr.Jana Adamusová, voice consultant Marie Kovalová and choir accompanist is Mgr.Jana Neubauerová.
