We people from Prekmurje are cheerful and the song is our faithful companion on different occasions. Therefore singing on our school has a long and rich tradition. In the choir there are singers from the age 11 to 15. Each year together with our children’s choir we prepare a concert for Christmas and New Year and the annual concert in May. It takes part in every school event and different events in our community. It participates in regional meetings of choirs and it always gets high grades. In 2011 it was chosen among 13 most talented junior choirs of Slovenia and in addition to that it sang on a big event Travelling music in Ljubljana. In 2012 it took part in a state competition of children and junior choirs and it got a silver prize. At the international competition in Olomouc the choir participated four times and got three bronze prizes and one silver prize in 2015. In April 2016 the choir attended the competition Vallis aurea cantat in Požega, Croatia where they got a gold prize.
