The chamber choir “Alla Camera” was founded in 2003 by conductor Vigdis Maria Sandvik. Alla Camera is Italian for “in chamber style”, and the choir has since early beginning developed a varied repertoire that is suitable for a small chamber ensemble. The Choir consists of 20 members from the near region of Oslo, and they are all amateurs with various professions. It is important for the conductor to develop skills both technical and musical for the ensemble, as well as every single member reaches individual development. The Choir has taken part in many competitions and choir festivals, and won gold-diplomas. The last achievement was a gold medal in The International Competition Festival of Christmas Music in Prague in 2014.
