Canzonetta children’s choir celebrated 27 years of their activity as it was founded in 1988. It consists of about 50 singers, girls and boys aged from 11 to 17. Canzonetta became an integral part of the city music life thanks to concerts, music festival participation and - last but not least - the cooperation with South Bohemia Theatre opera. The repertoire is based on folk songs arranged by Czech and foreign composers but also on renaissance, baroque, and contemporary polyphonic songs. A lot of awards from national and international competitions and festivals prove that the repertoire is well selected and excellently performed.
