Choir "Accolada"

Founded in 1988 in Children and Youth Centre “Rīgas Skolēnu pils” the “Accolada” choir has developed into 3 age groups: juniors, older children and youth chamber choir. Since 1997 the choir has toured extensively and participated in international choral competitions and festivals. In Latvia “Accolada” choir is known for being the laureate of the 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 Song Festivals. The core repertoire of the choir is Russian spiritual music. In 1997 the choir was bestowed a blessing by the Metropolitan of Riga and All Latvia to participate in divine services and the Episcopal service. Since then the choir performs at Christmas and Easter in the churches of Riga and participates in significant events in the Orthodox life of Latvia.
