Vocal group Aurora

Vokalna skupina Aurora, has grown out of the friendship and love for singing of some of the ex members of Girls choir Aurora. In the last five years, since it was founded in 2011, singers from female Vocal group Aurora have been under the artistic leadership from Janja Dragan Gombač developing an ambitious repertoire comprising Slovene and international choral music. In 2013 Britten's Ceremony of Carols with the harphist Sophia Ristic was especially well received by the audience. In 2014 Aurora successfully participated at international competition in Rimini, Italy.

Janja Dragan Gombač has graduated at Ljubljana Music Academy. Beside working with female vocal group Aurora she has worked as a choir conductor with children, youth and mixed choirs. With Girls’ choir Aurora she achieved gold prize and was the category winner at Riva del Garda 2002, Celje 2003, Cum laude at Neerpelt 2006, Young Prague 2007, Festival of Advent and Christmas Music, Bratislava 2008. She attended master classes with Tőnu Kaljuste and Frieder Bernius. She works as music teacher at Secondary school for preschool teacher and gymnasium in Ljubljana.
