Singing association in Pezinok, the predecessor of Ad Una Corda, was founded in November 1867. During the 50’s and 60‘s the activity of the choir was restrained due to the increasing communist counter-religious oppression. These days, the choir interprets mainly classical and modern church music. Its qualities have been proved by many achievements such as three 1st places in international choral competitions: in Banska Bystrica (2008), Malta (2002) and Olomouc (1998), the Gold prize at the International festival Musica Sacra in Bratislava (2007) along with many other awards from competitions in Portugal, Estonia, France or Denmark. In addition, it has performed non-competitively in 13 European countries, in Izrael and in the USA. The choir regularly performs at important religious celebratrions and festivals of classical music in cooperation with various ensambles (e.g. Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, Musica Aeterna, Pärnu City Orchestra, Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina, Bohdan Warchal Slovak Chamber Orchestra).
