The chamber women‘s choir VOKALNÍ HARMONIE has appeared on music stage since 1959. During its existence it has given over 700 concerts in the towns of the Czech and Slovak Republics and over 100 concerts in 17 European countries. The choir has been extremely successful in both national and international competitions. The latest achievements include a silver band in an international festival Musica Sacra in Bratislava (May 2008, Slovakia) and Bedřich Průcha‘s Special Award for the Best Interpretation of a Folk Song at the International Festival of Romantism in Vlachovo Březí (October 2008, Czech Republic).The choir cooperates with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Hradec Králové and other soloists. The varied repertoire includes compositions of all music styles (from Renaissance to contemporary music), arrangements of folk songs as well as spirituals. Jaromír Schejbal is the conductor of the choir, Alena Holá provides piano accompaniment.
