Children’s music studio “Omnes” was founded in 1999. The name reflects the aims of the group - to develop musical hearing and vocal faculties of every child irrespective of the quality of their born musical gifts and their level of development when joining the choir. In the spring of 2002, the chorus was formed by conductor and artistic director of studio Aija Kukule. Today there are 27-30 singers aged 9-16 in the choir. The repertoire is most varied - from classics to modern Latvian and European choir music. Choir has an active concert schedule - in church services and concerts, charity events, TV and radio programs. In 2005 choir has participated in the 9thLatvian School Youth Song and Dance Celebration and in the International project Eurotreff (Germany). The choir has participated in several international choir competitions: Estonia (Tallin 2003), Belgium (52. European Children and Youth choir festival Neerpelt 2004), Italy (Riva del Garda 2006 and Loreto 2012), Hungary (Budapest 2007), Spain (Barcelona, Coralis 2007), Russia (Petersburg 2008 The Singing World), Latvia (Daugavpils, Silver Bells 2009), Macedonia(Ohrid 2010), Poland(Cracovia Cantans 2011), Switzerland(Montreux 2014) Omnes is the Winner of 1-st children’s choir competition Coralis 2007 (Barcelona) and folkmusic category of Bad Ischl 2013(Austria) They have also released 5 CDs.
