The Voci Veloci Children’s Choir of the Primary Music School in Szczecin has been led by Agata Czekalińska since 2007. The choir is composed of children between the ages of 8 and 16. Its repertoire includes classical music from the Middle Ages to contemporary works, as well as popular and ethnic music. Since 2007, the Voci Veloci Choir has performed in more than 300 concerts, competitions, festivals, and workshops in Poland, Germany, Spain, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, and Italy. The choir has received over 40 awards at national and international choral competitions. Voci Veloci also collaborates with major cultural institutions in Szczecin, including the Szczecin Philharmonic, the Opera at the Castle, and the Academy of Art in Szczecin. The choir is accompanied on piano by Katarzyna Sochacka.
Agata Czekalińska graduated from the I. J. Paderewski Music Academy in Poznań, branch in Szczecin. She began working at the Academy, where she currently leads the student choir. In 2007, she also started working with the Children’s Choir of the Primary Music School in Szczecin. With her choirs, she has participated in more than 300 concerts, festivals, and music events. In 2015, she earned her PhD degree, and since 2021, she has served as the Dean of the Department of Music Education at the Academy of Art in Szczecin.
