Every 3 years Saint Peters College and Wilderness School combine and head overseas for their tri-cyclic music tour. The students in the 2019 St Peter’s and Wilderness School Chamber Choir range from age 12 - 18 and have been rehearsing since only February of this year. The opportunity to rehearse with the different voice types has been a wonderful experience for both schools and this years’ combination has proven to be a very special one, with great bonds formed within the whole tour group. With Mr Andrew Chatterton’s extensive experience in sacred choral and Anna’s experience in Jazz Choir repertoire, their chosen pieces have proved to bring out the best in all vocal members and provide a diverse, challenging and engaging repertoire. Both Andrew Chatterton and Anna Lenartowicz will conduct the Saint Peters College and Wilderness School Chamber Choir.
Andrew Chatterton completed his music studies at the Elder Conservatorium and has since performed regularly both nationally and internationally. As Choral Coordinator at St Peter's College, Andrew oversees the school's choral program and directs five choirs across the Junior and Senior Schools. Appointed Director of the Flinders University Choral Society in 2004, Andrew conducted the choir in performances for six years. As Assistant Director of Music at St Peter's Cathedral, Andrew has conducted the St Peter's Cathedral Choir in performances around Australia and on tour in the United Kingdom, Italy and France. Andrew has been the Adelaide Harmony Choir’s Director of Music since 2016 and has conducted the choir in performances of major works with orchestra including The Creation by Joseph Haydn (2016), John Rutter's When Icicles Hang (2016), Johannes Brahms’ Elijah (2017), regular performances of Handel's Messiah, and Cantatas BWV 78, 140 and 150 by J.S. Bach (2018). In 2019 Andrew directed the choir in a successful performance tour across China.
