Budnitay

Female vocal ensemble “Budnitay” was founded in November 2007. It consists of seven singers. The ensemble’s repertoire is various, from classical to contemporary compositions of different countries. All music is performed a capella in four, five, six or seven voices. “Budnitay” is laureate of regional, national and international competitions, they contributed a lot to local concerts. Their performing style may vary depending on the chosen work, but the folk-jazz style dominates.

Marina Khomik

Conductor / Leader

Marina Khomik graduated from the School of Music in Cherkassy in 2003 where she studied two directions – guitar folk music and conducting. In 2007 she graduated from Nezhinskii State University majoring in “Pedagogy and Methods of Secondary Education in Music “. In 2008 she graduated from the Pereyaslav -Khmelnitsky State Pedagogical University receiving a degree in “Management of Educational Institutions.” Since 2007 she is the founder and leader of women’s vocal group Budnitay.
