The school orchestra has existed since the school was established, i.e. since 1947. Since 2009, the ensemble has been working under the direction of Grażyna Wolter–Kaźmierczak, Ph.D. of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. The orchestra performs during regular school concerts, such as: Concert on the occasion of the International Music Day, Christmas Concert, concert of students of Mam talent and a concert for children Poranek Muzyczny. The concert on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the School (2013), Concert on the occasion of the opening of the renovated Concert Hall (2014) and also Musical fairy tales (2015) were important in the ensemble's activities. The latter was a performance at the invitation of the Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz, during which the Orchestra premiered a cycle of pieces by Aleksandra Brejza, Soundogymnastics for Mom, Dad and Toddler.... What a Ride. The composer's and poet's poems were read by actress Anna Dereszowska. In 2015 and 2016, the students performed during the International Music Festival La Folle Journée in Warsaw. The Orchestra also has concerts abroad in its history (Czech Republic, Norway, Hungary, Portugal). In 2012, the students presented their skills in Inowrocław's partner city - Bad Oyenhausen (Germany), and in 2017 they performed in Leipzig, participating in the Erasmus + project.
Dr. hab. Grażyna Wolter-Kaźmierczak (PhD with habilitation), conductor, associated professor at the Choral Music and Music Education Department of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. Received a musical arts doctoral degree with habilitation in the artistic field of conducting. Graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Musical Education at F. Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz (1998) and completed Choirmasters Postgraduate Studies (2000). She won 1st place at the 2nd Faculty Conducting Competition (1997) and received two scholarships of the Minister of Culture. Since 1998 she has been working at the Faculty of Conducting, Jazz Music and Music Education at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. She teaches conducting, score reading and is an academic works consultant. Since September 2009 she has been conducting the Symphonic Orchestra of the J. Zarębski 1st and 2nd Level State Music School in Inowrocław. With this orchestra she performed for the first time ever the works of Aleksandra Brejza (Dźwiękogimnastyka dla mamy, taty i brzdąca co bryka and Die Schumannreise). In 2011, in collaboration with Symphonic Orchestra and Choir of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, she recorded the performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana.
