Pellissippi State College Variations Choir, Tennessee

Variations Choir is a select vocal ensemble from Pellissippi State Community College located in Knoxville, Tennessee in the Southeastern United States. The group is comprised of both music majors and non-music majors alike and specializes in choral chamber music and advanced choral repertoire in a variety of styles. Variations performs regularly on their college campus, throughout the Knoxville community, and around the world in concert halls, cathedrals, and schools. In recent years, Variations has toured in Ireland, France, Slovakia, Hungary, Italy, Austria, the Czech Republic, Spain, and Peru. Some recent memorable performances include concerts at the Czech Museum of Music in March 2018, Carnegie Hall in May 2022, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral of Dublin in March 2024. Variations performs under the direction of conductor Meagan Humphreys, who has directed the group since 2015. Humphreys holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Tennessee and studied with Dr. Angela Batey.
