Fermata Chamber Choir, established in 1998, is a group of more than a dozen vocalists offering a broad repertoire a cappella that covers classical choral works and popular music arranged for choir. Apart from ordinary performances and festivals, the choir has also been gladly co-operating with cultural and educational institutions, organising concerts for children and with their participation. Fermata initiated the launch of an event called “Pieśniobranie”, a series of concerts where the audience - led by the vocalists - sing old and recognized songs. They have recorded choral parts for nine different music productions, the two most recent CDs– a cappella. Fermata’s activities have resulted in many accomplishments, which include first prizes and Grand Prix won at festivals in Poland and abroad, Platinum and Diamond Records, as well as the Mayor of Kielce 1st Rank Prize for Artistic Achievements. The backbone of the group, motivating each singer to explore their vocal potential is immense joy evoked by performing together.The choir was established and has been conducted by Ewa Robak, www.fermata.pl
