Female Choir Vaput

Vaput is an amateur women’s choir based in the City of Jyväskylä in Central Finland. The choir has been officially founded in 1910 which makes it one of the oldest female choirs in Finland. During the history of the choir Vaput has promoted Finnish choir music by singing, commissioning and publishing it. The choir has been successful in choir competitions. It has also been chosen as the Female Choir of the Year in Finland in 1985, 2000 ja 2010. At the moment there are 37 singers in Vaput.
