The yakinton Ensemble has been singing together for over 25 years under the musical direction of Maestro Zeev Ullman. Our repertoire comprises a wide variety of music, primarily from the rich canon of Israeli folk songs and popular music. We also enjoy singing popular songs from other cultures in their original language or translated into hebrew, and occasionally classic coral music. The yakinton Ensemble has performed at both local and national events and festivals. The Ensemble has also participated in several music festivals around the globe. We take pride in having produced several thematic artistic performances, in wich we sang in collaboration with guest singers, actors and musicians. Members of the ensemble come from the cities of Yavne, Ganei Tikva and Modiin, situated in the centeral region of Israel. We meet for rehersals once a week, but we carry the tune in our hearts all week long, sometimes singing out loud for no apparent reason. Each one of us has a different career, so among us you will find teachers, doctors, engineers, lawyers, social workers, architects and pilots. However we all share a passion for vocal music, and enjoy joining our voices to create perfect harmony. Over the years we have become close friends, and the Ensemble has become a second home to us.
