The Chamber Choir is an international vocal ensemble with a decade-long tradition. It was founded in 2015 by conductor Monika Pőcze during her studies at the Academy of Performing Arts. Since then, it has evolved into a unique group that brings together voices from Slovakia, Ukraine, Italy, Spain, Czechia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Philippines, and Korea. The choir boasts a diverse repertoire that includes popular, spiritual, sacral, classical, and folk music, regularly showcased at concerts throughout Slovakia and abroad. Past performances include the Alexander Duchnovič Theatre in Prešov, the FÚGA Cultural Centre in Košice, Dobrý trh in Bratislava, the City of Bratislava’s Christmas programme, and an International Music Festival in Portugal. The choir currently consists of 17 women from various professional fields, ranging from teaching to molecular biology, supported on the piano by an experienced accompanist, Dariia Kashperko (SK/UA).
Monika Pőcze graduated with a bachelor's degree in Choral Conducting from the Faculty of Music and Dance at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, as well as a bachelor's degree in Teacher Education for Pedagogy and Musical Arts - Singing, from the Faculty of Education at Comenius University in Bratislava.She has participated in courses on choral conducting and vocal training in choirs in Prague (Czech Republic) and Havlíčkova Borová (Czech Republic), and in Master classes in orchestral conducting in Rome (Italy). She is also a former member of the Choir of the Lúčnica Artistic Ensemble. Monika Pőcze currently works at the Renáta Madarászová Private School of Arts in Senec as a teacher of solo and choral singing and music theory. Her students achieve excellent results in competitions and go on to study at conservatoires.
