Choeur de Filles de Bordeaux

Created in 2004 by Alexis Duffaure, the Choeur de Filles de Bordeaux - Bordeaux Girls Choir is a place to learn sacred music and choral singing. The choir is now composed of 130 girls from 8 to 22 years old. Our choristers give more than thirty concerts a year, in France or abroad and animate the great celebrations at the Cathedral of Bordeaux. The Bordeaux Girls Choir is now considered one of the best all-female choirs in France and its repertoire is composed of sacred songs for children’s voices, classical music and traditional songs in more than 15 languages. Faithful to their motto «Sowing Joy» the choristers of the Bordeaux Girls Choir travel in France and Europe and perform in prestigious places such as the Madeleine Church in Paris, as true ambassadors of French cultural heritage. Our young choristers had the honour of singing for Pope Francis this winter on the occasion of the New Year’s Mass in the Vatican. The Bordeaux Girls Choir celebrates its 20th anniversary this year during an anniversary summer tour through Slovakia, Austria and the Czech Republic! Our musical training is a true school of life that reveals the female talents of tomorrow!
