The Coro Voci Fabrianesi follows the 35-year experience of the Coro Giovani Fabrianesi, founded in 1987 and stemming from the idea of bringing people together around values such as friendship, collaboration, and commitment, with an extraordinary means like music. The repertoire choices have been characterized by a continuous search for new areas, a search that has led the Choir to tackle the most diverse musical genres: from Italian songs of the 60s (with polyphonic arrangements also made by local musicians), to Baroque music; from film soundtracks and excerpts from musicals (Walt Disney, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair, Add a Place at the Table, etc.), to world music, through frequent visits to South American repertoires, particularly the Argentine one (Navidad Nuestra and Misa Creolla). Throughout its history, the Choir has reinterpreted songs by various Italian songwriters, such as: Battisti, Tenco, Zucchero, Venditti, Paoli, De Andrè, and others, and it has also embraced modern Pop music, with performances of songs loved by the latest generations. The Choir is always accompanied by a group of skilled instrumentalists who are the backbone of its musical experience: It is directed by Maestro Emilio Procaccini.
Emilio Procaccini obtained his Classical Maturity in 1980 at the State Classical High School “F. Stelluti” in Fabriano and, in 1981, he graduated in Piano, with the highest marks and honors, at the State Conservatory “F. Morlacchi” in Perugia. In 1983 he received his first assignment as a Piano teacher at the musical courses of the “Soprani” Middle Schools in Castelfidardo and “M. Polo” in Fabriano: at the latter institute he was a teacher until August 2007. Alongside his school career, and in support of his professional career, he continued his musical studies with teachers such as Guido Agosti, Franco Scala, Emilia Fadini, Glen Wilson, Jörg Demus, Pier Narciso Masi and carried out concert activities as a pianist, harpsichordist, and, from 1988, as director of the Choir “Giovani Fabrianesi” of Fabriano, performing in Italy and Europe. He has also collaborated, as a lecturer and essayist, in the creation of all editions of the Symphonic Season of the Gentile Theater in Fabriano. He was president, from 2007 to 2013, of the non-profit association “Solidarity and Welcome” of Fabriano, which implemented, with the authorization of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, projects for planned hospitality of Ukrainian minors from orphanages and problematic family situations. Since 2007, he has been the School Principal, first of the Comprehensive Institute “Fernanda Imondi Romagnoli” in Fabriano and currently of the Higher Institute of Education “Morea-Vivarelli” always in Fabriano.
