The Comenius Choir, based at Comenius University and primarily composed of its students, has a long history of achievements under the direction of conductor Sergei Mironov. Over the years, it has won several prestigious awards at various competitions and festivals both nationally and internationally. After a brief hiatus during the pandemic, the Comenius Choir is resuming its activities in October 2023 with new singers and a new conductor, doc. Mgr. art. et Mgr. Monika Bažíková, ArtD.

Doc. Mgr. art. et Mgr. Monika Bažíková, ArtD., is a graduate of the Conservatory in Žilina, the University of Žilina, and the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica. She completed her doctoral studies at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków and earned her associate professor degree at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. She is the conductor of the choir OMNIA, which has garnered significant awards both nationally and internationally since its establishment in 2003. Additionally, she conducts the children's choir BRIOSO and, since October 2023, the university choir COMENIUS. Beyond her teaching and conducting roles, she is also a composer, lectures at music seminars, a jury member at vocal and choral competitions, and actively participates in various international music projects.
