The Children‘s Choir Zvonky (The Bells) at the Elementary Art and Music School (ZUŠ) in Hulín was founded in 1998 by conductor MgA. Dana Zapletalová, currently accompanied by MgA. Martina Mergentalová. The choir performs regularly at spring and Christmas concerts and other school events, and it frequently takes part in festivals and international competitions. It is highly acclaimed, its most prized achievements being participation in the prestigious festivals and competitions. The choir’s most renowned awards are the Gold medals and the Absolute prize winner at International Choir competition in Salzburg in 2019 and awarding with the Golden diploma in the National Choir competition of Elementary Art and Music Schools in Litomyšl together with the diploma for outstanding pedagogical effort and dramaturgy in 2023.
