Smíšený pěvecký sbor ARTEP

The mixed choir named ARTEP from the Grammar School and Business Academy in Orlová was established in January 2001. The ensemble regularly participates in both national and international choir festivals. The choir's history includes many successful performances in concerts and choir festivals in the Czech Republic, but also in Poland, Switzerland, Mexico, Italy, Latvia, Slovakia, and Macedonia, where the choir is frequently awarded. The conductor and art director of the choir are Ms. Petra Rašíková. Mr. Aleš Bína is also an important figure who is in charge of piano accompaniment. Ms. Monika Kříštková has been working with the choir since September 2022 as a vocal coach.

Conductor / Leader

In 2005, she graduated from the Faculty of Education at the University of Ostrava, specializing in Music Education and Choirmaster at the 3rd Level of education under the supervision of Professor Lumír Pivovarský. Her choir training as a conductor took place at the Choir studio Permoník, Ostrava University Choir, and Ostrava Teachers’ Choir. Since 2001, she has served as the artistic director and choirmaster of the mixed student choir Artep, based at the Grammar School and Business Academy in Orlová. From September 2013, she has been the choirmaster and artistic director of the mixed choir Chorus Ostrava. Currently, she also works at the Art School of V. Petrželky in Ostrava-Hrabůvka, where she teaches solo and choir singing.
