Vocal ensemble " Agluona"
Lithuania
The vocal ensemble was formed in 1984 and was named after the Agluonas river that flows near the Agluonėnai settlement. The collective's repertoire consisted of songs from all regions of Lithuania, mainly Žemaitija, Lithuanian romances, folk songs, original songs, and religious hymns. In 2018, the young and promising choirmaster Kornelija Jurkevičė began leading the ensemble, expanding its repertoire from Lithuanian folk songs to academic and popular music. The collective also started participating in various republican festivals and competitions, where they won prizes: II International Vocal Competition "GOLDEN VOICE" 2022 – 1st-degree laureate, festival “Asia Folk 2022” – silver diploma, III sacred music competition “Glory to the Almighty 2023” – III Place. The team's harmony, respect for each other, and continuous improvement allow every guest who comes to Agluonėnai to experience the same warm feelings.
Kornelija Jurkeviče
Conductor / Leader
Born in Lithuania in 1994, in Klaipėda, she began learning music and following its path from a young age. In 2013, she graduated from the Eduard Balsios Gymnasium of Arts, specializing in choral conducting. She continued her studies at Klaipėda University, where she majored in organ and choral conducting, along with pedagogy. She completed her master's studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, specializing in performing arts and choral conducting. Since her school days, she has participated in various conducting competitions, where she became a laureate. This year, she leads various collectives, actively participates in national and international projects, and constantly improves her knowledge while teaching young and talented children the secrets of conducting at school
