"Xizhi City Philharnonic Orchestra" from Taiwan was founded on November 11, 1999, and has been established for 23 years. With the aim of promoting music education, enhancing artistic education, and improving social and humanistic education, the orchestra has strived for excellence under the leadership of honorary conductor Ting-Hui Chen, honorary chairperson Shih-Yuan Chen, current leader Ming-Ching Kao, chairperson Mei-Ying Ho, music director Ya-Ying Lin, and current conductors Fan-Chieh Shih and Po-Jen Wang, as well as string instructor Wei-Lun Wu and wind instructor Ai-Ting Chang, and the efforts of the members. Thanks to the care and encouragement of enthusiastic music education professionals, the orchestra has become one of Taiwan's important ensembles.
Kai-Hsi Fan was the violist of Jade Quartet in Stuttgart, Germany (2013/2014), Music Director of the Chamber Orchestra Collegium Artium Stuttgart (2014/2015 season), assistant Conductor of the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (2015- 2018). Currently he is serving as full-time Assistant Professor at Tunghai University Department of Music and conductor of Tainan National University of the Arts Department of Music. He is also the Prizewinner of many international conducting competitions such as ''First Prize'' in the Conducting Masterclass and Competition by Michael Dittrich in Budapest, Hungary in 2012, one of the last five Candidates in the world renowned Besancon International Competition for Young Conductors in September 2013, ''Orchestra Prize'' in the Opera Nice Cote D'azur Conducting Competition in 2018. He is invited to conduct the Opera Nice in 2022.
