Die Telemänner

The string ensemble „Die Telemänner“ was founded in 2008 by its current conductor Steffi Bade-Bräuning. Having a passion for baroque and modern music, they won several prizes at international competitions, such as a first prize at the 2018 Summa Cum Laude competition Vienna. International concert tours took the ensemble to Budapest, Helsinki, New York City and Shanghai between 2010 and 2019. In 2021, the young ensemble worked Aleksey Igudesman in Vienna and were invited to perform at the Expo 2021 in Dubai. Many of the former members are national winners of individual music competitions, professional musicians or music teachers today. Others still have the most wonderful hobby. www.gedok-stuttgart.de
Steffi Bade Bräuning
Conductor / Leader
Steffi Bade Bräuning is a dedicated conductor of choir, orchestra and band and has conducted the ensemble “Die Telemänner” since 2008. She has also been the artistic director of the music ensembles of Esslingen University since 2010. 1999-2003 she was head of music at the German School of Singapore and was elected as judge at the Central Judging of Choirs in Singapore. 2009 she conducted two CD productions in cooperation with the Bavarian Radio Station (Bayerischer Rundfunk). Concert tours took her to Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai und New York. She was nominated twice for the Marion-Doenhoff-Prize with reference to her international music projects (2003 and 2020). She loves to arrange baroque music to the needs of players today and believes in it as a key to music for young musicians. www.sbb-musik.de
