A glorious 41 years of singing by a mixed choir brings together singers of different generations. The choir was founded in 1978 by employees of the IMV factory in Novo mesto and was named after it and only later the choir was named after the sponsor REVOZ, the Renault car factory in Slovenia. The REVOZ Mixed Choir is an invaluable collection of sincere and happy friends, joined by a love for singing. Music sheet folders of the choir members are full of diverse notes of Slovene and foreign composers, songs, folk songs, and especially adaptations of Slovene folk and domestic songs that the choir sings with pleasure. The rehearsals take place under the watchfull eye of conductor Mrs. Cvetka Krampelj. There are currently 25 singers in the choir who always convince that they can do even the most demanding songs which is reflected in the results from various competitions and festivals across Slovenia, Europe and even in Florida.
Born in 1953 in Novo mesto, Slovenia, Cvetka Krampelj began playing piano at the age of eight. The joy of music led her to the High school of music and later on to the University of Musicology. Her first challenge was working with children's and youth choirs in elementary school. For her work she received numerous awards and recognitions. 26 years ago, she took over the Revoz mixed choir, which is still giving her inspiration and motivation. She says that because of the diverse structure of the singers, working with the choir has not always been easy, but because of the singers' shared desire to actively spend their free time with music, she is always looking forward to the moments she spends with the choir.
