Nordisk kor (Nordic Choir) is a mixed a cappella choir - founded in Oslo, Norway, in 1982. It offers the audiences a wide range of choral music with multiple styles from all historical periods - born from the desire that people from the Nordic countries could sing Nordic (and other) music together. * The choir consists of 24 singers between the ages of 31 and 71 - mostly Norwegians. * The choir has appeared in two Norwegian TV-series: Hjem (Home) (2012) and Presten (The Priest) (2018). * The Slovakia Cantat 2020 will be the choir's very first competition. In our experience, true enjoyment plays an integral role in the development of good character and vocal excellence. In other words - we try to have fun while learning.
Kari Raff Reinemo (b. 1978) is educated at the Norwegian State Academy of Music with a major in classical singing. She has performed as a soprano soloist in oratorios and sacred music, in modern classical music and in solo recitals. She has also performed in early music ensembles. She began conducting in 1997, mostly mixed chamber choirs and women’s choirs. She is also working as a vocal teacher at the music programme at Foss High School in Oslo. Reinemo has been the conductor of Nordisk kor since 2005.
