Harmony
Slovakia
Female vocal group Harmony acts along with Art school in Púchov. Its members are teachers from the Art school. It actively participates in concerts held in school and town. Repertoire of the group is wide: it consists mainly of the renaissance, baroque and romanticism compositions, gospel songs, adaptations of folk and popular songs. The group took part in the Námestovo´s music fest in 2014, where it won a Grand prix prize. In 2015 the group became the winner of the category at the Musica sacra Bratislava in the Vocal Ensemble category. In 2018 Harmony ended up in the silver zone on the festival Voce Magna.
Mária Jašurdová
Conductor / Leader
Studied choir conducting at VŠMU in Bratislava in class of Ondrej Šaray. While studying, she worked at Základná umelecká škola v Púchove (Basic art school), where after finishing her studies, she teaches and conducts pupil and teacher choirs up to this day. Beside these activities, she stands as a composer. She has released two CDs as a composer: "De profundis" for mixed choir and "Venovanie" for children choir.
