The story of the Chamber Choir started in 2001. The choir takes part in cultural events of the university annually. Carpe Diem is active in the musical field and represents MIFI on different Moscow and International competitions and festivals : Students Festival “Festos”, International Festival “Chorus Inside “(Moscow), “Paparaz Kvetka “(Minsk, Belarus), “Molodie golosa” (Nizhniy Novgorod), Veshushka” 2012 (Yaroslavl). The choir got a diploma for “Best performance of Romanticism and Renaissance compositions” at the International students choirs’ forum “Paparz Kvetka-2009” in Minsk. In 2011 Carpe Diem took part in VII All-Russian competition “Poushaya Rassiya” (“Singing Russia”) and achieved 3rd place. In 2013 the Chamber Choir became the winner of 1st and 2nd place in the International Festival Mozart`s Prague (Prague, Czech Republic).
