Cathedral Boy's Choir PUERI CANTORES TARNOVIENSES

The Cathedral Boys’ Choir PUERI CANTORES TARNOVIENSES was founded by Prof. Andrzej Zając in 1981. The main task of the choir is to sing during the Divine Services in the Cathedral Church in Tarnów. Its repertoire comprises, first of all, compositions of sacred music of Polish and foreign composers, either past or contemporary. The activity of the choir is not only limited to a mere liturgical function but also giving concerts and taking part in many music festivals in Poland and abroad. The choir visited many European countries. Among its recorded performances are the choir’s radio and TV appearances. It has recorded 7 CD.

GRZEGORZ PIEKARZ - He graduated from the Institute of Theology in Tarnów in 1996, the Academy of Musik in Cracow in 2004, the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Cracow (doctoral research), the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz (conduct – 2006 and vocal form – 2008). From 2005 – director Music Department in diocese in Tarnów, director Diocese Organ School in Tarnów, from 2008 – first conductor of Choir PCT. With Choir works. JOANNA STĘPIEŃ been cooperating with the choir. She is responsible for voice forming.
