Meisieskool Oranje has a rich tradition of choral singing since the early 1940s. It is the choir‘s mission since its existence to captivate audiences with versatile and enjoyable singing which is passionately presented by each member. The choir consists of 110 learners, under direction of Stefan Buys and accompanied by Brigitte Botha.
Stefan Buys
Conductor / Leader
Stefan Buys obtained a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry and Management, an Honours degree in business management and a postgraduate certificate in education at the University of the Free State. Music, especially group and choral singing is his passion. He has been the conductor of the Oranje girl school choir since 2012 and the Oranje Girls singing group, Con Spirito since 2011, as well as the male vocal ensemble, Take Note since 2016.
