Mixed choir Vokál Přerov was founded in 1963. It has performed on many occasions home and abroad as well (e.g. in Poland, Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Italy). They have also participated in several choral competitions and festivals (Olomouc 2008, Alta Pusteria 2007, International Krakow Choir Festival “Cracovia Cantans 2011”) where they acquired silver and golden band. They have performed in the radio and television and have recorded three CDs. Choir´s repertoire is not limited, in recent years it is more focused on singing spirituals, pop and folk music.
MgA. Kamila Zenklová
Conductor / Leader
Kamila Zenklová (1976) is the artistic director and the conductor of the choir since 1999. She graduated from Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno; specialised in choral conducting under the doc. Ľubomír Márl and orchestra conducting under doc. Emil Skoták. Presently she works as a teacher at Brno Conservatory where she conducts the choir. She also leades several vocal ensembles (Komoráček Brno, Sebranka Brno), she deals with the vocal training and sings in the national choir Bohemiachor.
