In »Mladinski pevski zbor Osnovne šole FLV Slivnica pri Mariboru« there are singing children from fifth to ninth class of the primary school, they are from ten to fifteen years old. Our choir participates at school events, as well as other events in our community. Each year we participate at the special choir event for school choirs in Maribor. This summer we were singing at the biggest music festival in Slovenia “Choir boom 2015” which took place at the football stadium, where there were 7100 young singers singing all together. We also have some experience at competitions, few years ago we competed in Olomouc and got silver award.
Mira Prel
Conductor / Leader
Mira Prel is a professor of music and the deputy head master in primary school Osnovna šola FLV Slivnica pri Mariboru. Besides teaching music, she is a successful conductor of youth and children’s choir. With both choirs she has many successes, several awards at local events and festivals, competitions in Slovenia and abroad. Mira Prel is very active at the pedagogical department. She is co-author of the work book and text books for music in sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth class of the primary school. She is also editor of the web text books for music in eighth and ninth class of the primary school and first class of the high school. She is a reviewer of the text book for music in first, second and third class. Mira Prel is member of the National examination center, department for music. In 2015 she received the “Blaž Kumerdej Award” of the Ministry of education of the Republic of Slovenia for excellent partnership in education, development and innovations in educational institutions.
