Rainier Ravireino

Rainier Revireino – studied voice and choral conducting with Avip Priatna in Cantabile School of Music whilst completing a degree in architecture at Parahyangan Catholic University. Since his debut as a soloist singing Mozart's Mass in C Minor, Rainier has performed not only oratorios, but also art song cycles such as Italinische Liederbuch (Wolf) and Songs and Dances of Death (Mussorgsky), and operas including Die Zauberflöte(Mozart) as Sarastro and Samson et Dalilah (Saint-Säens) as Abimelech, to name a few. He has also premiered three song cycles by pianist and composer Ananda Sukarlan - Canda Empat Penjuru, Gemuruhnya Malam and Ars Amatoria. Rainier is a versatile musician who is also well known as a choir conductor and presently leads the Bina Nusantara University Choir and has won top prizes in both national and international choir competitions. In 2010 the Bina Nusantara University Choir won the highest prize and awarded best interpretation of compulsory work at the Praga Cantat, Czech Republic. They also won the Grand Prix at the Seghizzi International Choir Competition 2012 in Gorizia, Italy. He was recently appointed as the new conductor of (GSP). Rainier is presently a voice teacher at Konservatorium Musik Jakarta and head of music department at Santa Ursula School BSD.
